OUR TRAINING APPROACH
As Rawdah Schools; We prioritize for
our students’ upbringing as world people who know and respect different
cultures and at the same time maintain their own cultural and spiritual values.
In this respect, we keep our curriculum up-to-date with academic content that
is aimed at both the intellectual and spiritual development of our students.
OUR CURRICULUM
Our 6-9 year old students learn the
religion they belong to by understanding the most basic source of the Holy
Quran. In addition, they learn Arabic, English as the most widely
spoken languages in the World. Furthermore, positive sciences have been
thought in a systematic and natural process with our own curriculum. In our
pre-school education, students who learn Arabic 'by exposure' continue their
education in Arabic with the same exposure, including breaks, activity and
branch lessons in primary school. In our education system, which is formed as a
double curriculum, our students actively learn Arabic, (speaking, reading,
writing), Turkish and English (speaking, reading, writing) for one hour each
day and are supported by our interactive programs. Our students learn Chinese,
which is included in our curriculum as of the second year of primary school,
through our special curriculum as a third foreign language.
BRANCH COURSES
CHESS
Chess at an early age is a very
valuable activity because of the acquisition of mind and imagination skills,
attention and memory development, comprehensive thinking, patience, and respect
for rules and rivals. We take our chess education that we have established in
our pre-school education to an advanced level with our Arabic trainers in our
primary school. At this level, our students gain the skills of developing
strategies, making conscious moves, logical and innovative thinking.
ART ACTIVITY
Art education in our school is not
limited to a conventional education. It covers all fields of visual, auditory,
verbal and dramatic art with a contemporary approach; because in this way of
art education, there are many fields of activity where creative activities can
be rewarded. Various activities such as painting, ceramics, dough, collage,
painting, board painting, play dough, finger painting, waste material studies
and printing enhance the children's hand skills, imagination, creativity and
artistic aspects.
During art activities, the child
develops social skills by making new friends, learning how to wait, talk,
listen, share, collaborate and help. The child expresses his/her self-esteem
with his/her senses and imposes his/her existence. The child who accepts and makes
himself accept and accept other children. Therefore, the most effective way to
gain these desired behaviors is art education. A child who has a good art
education will have a personality that accepts himself and other children's
abilities honestly. In our school, we prepared the appropriate environment for
children's art activities. There, especially in our painting work, they learn
all techniques starting from black pencil to oil painting. Ebru, which we have
been educating from an early age, is a decorative art made by passing the
patterns created with special crafted paints on paper intensified with
tragacanth on paper. It has its own brushes and paints. There are gains such as
patience, understanding, attention improvement, fine motor development, mood
serenity. In our primary school, our professional instructor teaches the
applied technical content of this art by spreading it over four years of
education.
MUSIC AND RHYTHM
Piano education makes it easier for
children to learn a new language and develops verbal intelligence. Learning a
new language is easier for children who learn to play the piano, as the
language learning center and the music center in the brain work almost the same
logic. We are giving piano education as a musical instrument with our
professional Arabic instructors.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES
SWIMMING:
This sport activity, which supports
children to gain body flexibility, to use diaphragm correctly and to learn to
swim at a young age, is realized with the help of professional trainers and pools
of maximum hygiene. The program consists of three courses and each course is
completed in four weeks.
ICE SKATING: Especially for children who are not immunocompromised and often
ill, this sport branch, which is especially recommended by specialists, is
known to be beneficial for respiratory infection and heart disease. Ice skating
school, which is also beneficial for gaining body flexibility, balance
development and muscle development, is completed in four weeks. The event takes
place at the request of our parents.
KICK BOKS: Elementary school students, according to age groups, warming,
stretching, somersault (front somersault, side somersault, handstand
somersault), hand-foot kick techniques and defense techniques with our kick
boxing instructor learn. Our school allows our children who succeed in this
branch to develop themselves in this sport at later ages.
SCIENCE AND NATURE ACTIVITY
Science and nature activities affect
the development and behavior of children, expand their interests, improve children's
problem-solving and thinking skills. Scientific studies are the activities that
lead children to observe, research, examine and discover. These activities help
children to develop their interests and needs and to develop concepts. In our
school, which educates individuals respectful to the universe they live in and
sensitive to their environment and nature, our students discover nature through
science and nature activities, recognize nature, examine the ecosystem, and
participate in learning with all their body and emotions. They learn by
experiencing / experiencing plant growth, nature, living things recognition and
observation activities in environments suitable for our program (forest,
greenhouse, aquarium, etc.).
ROBOTIC CODING AND STEM
As Rawdah Schools, we believe that
if our children are educated from a young age, in line with their talents, as
well as their ability to be developed, they will be more creative and
productive individuals in academic life. For this purpose S.T.E.M. class has
been provided for them. We offer supported studies. While combining the sense of
curiosity and discovery that exists in the nature of our children with
activities that will provide cognitive skills. Therefore, we provide the
formation of scientific and mathematical perceptions of children through
robotic and coding workshops and lay the foundations of thinking in different
dimensions in scientific studies. Our students create various shapes with
robotic kits, distort models, rebuild them as they wish, develop their
imagination and think in two (2D) and three-dimensional (3D). Our student
follows the instructions for robotics studies, makes comparisons, imagines,
reasones, takes risks and thus gains analytical thinking skills. Our students
receive coding training supported by 21st century skills such as problem
solving, critical and questioning thinking, communication skills, working as a
team, designing and producing their own products.
DRAMA
Since all sensory organs are used
effectively in the drama method, the child's communication skills such as
attention, perception, listening, and speaking are developed. Thus, the child
learns to express and interpret himself and his problems. Drama helps to free
the child from negative emotions such as shyness and inferiority. In our
school, after completing the subjects in the books, some concepts that are
abstract with children are transformed into concrete by drama. Thus, they have
the opportunity to reinforce the issues they dramatize among themselves. Drama
is one of the widely used methods in multilingual institutions. The issues we
have identified within the scope of the interdisciplinary study adopted at our
school are revived in Arabic and English through our drama activities.
TRAINING GAME TABLE
Foreign language activities in our
school are supported with various educational materials besides active and
passive games accompanied by our teachers. One of these materials, the
educational game table, contains all the activities that students need to
improve their language skills. Thanks to this table, children learn the
concept-contrast concept, animals (places they live, food they eat), seasons
and colors, and in the meantime, they learn and practice language by competing
with each other, competing with their teachers, and in short, having fun and
learning.
